BDB is pleased to announce the shortlisted candidate for the various positions. The shortlisted candidates are advised to report to BDB Corporate Office, Chubachu, Thimphu from October 11 to October 19, 2021 (excluding Sunday and government holiday) with the following original documents for verification.
1. Citizenship ID Card
2. Academic transcripts (Mark Sheets of Class X, XII and Degree as per the post announced)
3. School leaving certificate
4. Medical Certificate
5. Original copy of the job application which was earlier submitted in scan/photo copy.
Note – Short listed candidate:
The written examination is scheduled on October 29 to October 31, 2021 followed by VIVA. The venue of the conduct of the written exam and date/venue of the VIVA will be intimated soon in BDB website: www.bdb.bt

The Management of Bhutan Development Bank (BDB) would like to announce the vacancy for the following post:

1	Director – Operations	1	The candidate should not be more than 55 years of age at the time of last date of application submission.	Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree obtained from a recognized college/university.	At least 15 years of direct experience in financial services, at least 10 years of which should have been in credit management position in a financial institution.	The initial Contract Term shall be for 5 (Five) years from the date of appointment. Based on the need and performance, it can be extended for 1 time for a period which will be determined by the Board.	Basic pay Nu. 75,000 (Ngultrum Seventy-Five Thousand) only per month Contract Allowance of 60 % of basic pay per month Conveyance allowance of Nu. 3,500 (Ngultrum Three Thousand Five Hundred) only per month. Fixed Communication Allowance of Nu. 3,500 (Ngultrum Three Thousand Five Hundred) only per month. Performance Based Variable Incentives (PBVI)

Disqualification for appointment
As per the Bank’s HR ISR 2020 in force, candidates will be ineligible for an appointment, if:

1. Convicted of a criminal offence;
2. Terminated, been compulsorily retired or voluntarily resigned from the Bank’s service;
3. Terminated or been compulsorily retired on the disciplinary ground by a previous employer;
4. Adjudged mentally unsound, by a competent medical authority that would inhibit the proper discharge of his or her duties;
5. Found intentionally providing false information in the application for employment or used fraudulent practices in the recruitment examination;
6. Furnished fake/forged testimonials/documents;
7. Failed or refused to furnish testimonials as required under the Bank’s service rules and regulations;
8. NOC from the current employer if already employed
9. Legally disqualified by the Government for appointment in the service.
