Vacancy Announcement

The Management of Bhutan Development Bank (BDB) is pleased to announce the vacancy for the post of General Manager, Finance and Treasury Department.

Qualification Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Master’s in Professional Accounting / Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (Full time) from a recognized university with in-depth knowledge & experience in account & well versed with BAS/IFRS.  

(Preference shall be given to CPA)

Experience Minimum of 10 years of work experience. Should have experience in relevant field; should have worked in a managerial role or equivalent position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good communication skills including presentation;
  • Strong analytical abilities;
  • Sound professional and administrative ability to make decisions or recommendations that will improve the Bank’s bottom line;
  • Possess relevant knowledge and experience in accounting standards and preparation of financial statements;
  • Ability to lead and manage the Finance and Treasury Department;
  • Possess excellent team work, networking, and negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience in accounting policies with effective implementation of BAS/IFRS;
  • Develop procedures, policies and methods of accounting in line with BAS;
  • Prepare and analysis the monthly financial statements & monthly MIS report for onward submission to the Management, Board and Regulator.
Employment Contract term of 3 years & shall be renewable based on performance.
Remuneration
  • Basic Pay of Nu. 62,530/-
  • Contract Allowance – 60% of Basic Pay
  •   (Contract allowance shall be negotiable based on experience.)
  • Fixed Communication Allowance: Nu. 3,500/-
  • Conveyance Allowance: Nu. 3,500/-
  • Payment of performance based variable incentives (PBVI).
  • Other entitlements: Eligible as per the Internal Service Rule

  1. Filled BDB Job Application Form (application form)
  2. Curriculum Vitae – The CV should highlight the relevant work experiences, knowledge, skills and other specified criteria for the post;
  3. A copy of valid Citizenship Identity Card;
  4. A copy of Academic Transcripts of Bachelor’s degree and others (if applicable);
  5. A copy of valid Security Clearance Certificate (approved online);
  6. A copy of CIB report;
  7. Certified documents to support total number of years of work experience and position(s) held along with duration as per requirement given above;
  8. A copy of Appointment Office Order for division/department head as may be applicable;
  9. A copy of Audit Clearance Certificate from Royal Audit Authority as may be applicable;
  10. The applicant should submit names of at least two (2) referees with email addresses and contact numbers; and
  11. The applicant upon selection must submit “No Objection Letter” from the employer, if currently employed.
