The Management of Bhutan Development Bank (BDB) is pleased to announce the vacancy for the post of General Managers on contract employment.

  1. Administration & Human Resource Management Department
  2.  
    Position Qualification Work Experience
    General Manager Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Full time) in any field from a recognized university; Minimum of 10 years of work experience. Should have experience in relevant field; should have worked in a managerial role or equivalent position.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The CV of candidates should demonstrate the following:
    1. Good communication skills including presentation;
    2. Strong analytical abilities;
    3. Sound professional and administrative ability to make decisions or recommendations that will improve the Bank’s bottom line;
    4. Possess relevant knowledge and experience in administration and human resource management.
    5. Ability to lead and manage the ADM & HRM Department
    6. Possess excellent team work, networking, and negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
    7. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in administration and human resource management.
    Service Record Should possess clean service record and not be convicted by the court of law

    4. Possess relevant knowledge and experience in credit management
    5. Ability to lead and manage the Credit Department
    6. Possess excellent team work, networking, and negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
    7. Preference will be given to candidates having proven experience in credit appraisals, credit monitoring, and improving the credit asset quality.
    Service Record Should possess clean service record and not be convicted by the court of law

  5. Entitlements and benefits for the post.

    * Contract allowance shall be negotiable based on experience.

    3 DA within the Country DA of Nu. 2,800.00 lump sum or actual expenses plus Nu. 1,300.00
    4 Pay raise Entitled to pay revision whenever the Bank / Ministry of Finance revises the pay scale of the Bank.
    5 Other benefits
    • Payment of performance based variable incentives (PBVI).
    • Other entitlements: Eligible as per the BDB Service Rule (BDB-ISR)
    6 Appointment status & tenure Contract term of 3 years & shall be renewable based on performance.

  2. Curriculum Vitae – The CV should highlight the relevant work experiences, knowledge, skills and other specified criteria for the post;
  3. A copy of valid Citizenship Identity Card;
  4. A copy of Academic Transcripts of Bachelor’s degree and others (if applicable);
  5. A copy of valid Security Clearance Certificate (approved online);
  6. A copy of CIB report;
  7. Certified documents to support total number of years of work experience and position(s) held along with duration as per requirement given above;
  8. A copy of Appointment Office Order for division/department head as may be applicable;
  9. A copy of Audit Clearance Certificate from Royal Audit Authority as may be applicable;
  10. The applicant should submit names of at least two (2) referees with email addresses and contact numbers; and
  11. The applicant upon selection must submit “No Objection Letter” from the employer, if currently employed.
